Dash Rendar is a fictional character in the Star Wars expanded universe. He first appeared in the multimedia project Shadows of the Empire in 1996, which included a novel, comic book series, video game, and toy line.
Rendar is a Corellian smuggler and mercenary, much like Han Solo, and pilots a modified Corellian freighter called the Outrider.
He is hired by Prince Xizor to act as a double agent against Darth Vader and the Empire. Throughout Shadows of the Empire, Rendar assists the Rebel Alliance, often working alongside Luke Skywalker and the other main characters.
